Recipes to Live By – Moms Mac n Cheese

Now I know that Mac n Cheese doesn’t sound like the most healthy of things in the world, but prepare it correctly (with love and intention) add a great side of veggies and no powder cheese mix and you will have a solid addition to your recipe box! I cooked frozen peas for my side but you do you! If you want to add meat, feel free!

Ingredients
1 Box Elbow Macaroni
1/2 Block of Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1/2 Block of Colby Jack Cheese
1/2 Stick of butter (I use vegan butter)
1/2 to 1 Cup of Milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
Salt & Pepper to taste

How it works
Boil your Mac
Grate the cheeses (or cut into small slices) – set aside a handful to sprinkle on top.
Heat oven to 350. Once mac is cooked, drain and add the butter, milk (not too much, don’t let it get soggy!) all cheese (except the handful), salt, pepper and stir until melted and creamy.
Pour into a glass baking pan and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
Bake for 10-20 minutes until it begins to bubble and is golden.
